The prints show views of polished marble slabs from the Cang Mountains (Cangshan) in China. Dali marble is one of the most precious marbles in China. Its veins resemble painted landscapes and are reminiscent of traditional Chinese ink drawings. The soft shades of black, grey and brown correspond to Vital’s monochrome colour palette. The prints are are characterised by chromatic depth and velvety softness.
