beige-bodied fayence, glazed in brown shades; restorations (inter alia to the lamp sockets, to the back of the pedestal and to the body of the sculpture in places), minor chipping, traces of use; on the back marked Sculpture (GS 13), model number 4136 and 23 and 15; total height: 112.5 cm. (MP) This type of figural lamps with torches was auctioned at Christie’s in November 2013 under the name Cherc.
