For the Hutschenreuth art department Theo Vos created a series of ten designs, which were presented at the Leipzig fair from 1925/26 onwards. They also included three dance studies. The expressive dancer Gertud Leistikow has been identified as the model for at least two figures: “In their dizzying dynamics, the stylised dance studies convey the illusion of uninhibited movement that almost bursts the boundaries of matter.” (Mey, Im Zeichen des Löwen, Porzellan aus Künstlerhand, p. 238).
