freestanding, Vienna, first quarter of the 19th century, mahogany veneered hardwood and softwood frames in cubic form with unattached writing section, richly moulded plinth area, as well as repeating rod pilasters, the front and back with 2 doors each with maple veneer interior, 4 maple interior drawers each with fire-gilt metal mounts, outside bronze rosette fittings and laurel wreath decoration, moulded writing surface with 3 drawers each on the front and back with partly fire-gilt bronze mounts in the shape of palmettes, gold-embossed inset with leather writing surface, upper section with architectural structure and similar decoration, several compartments, lattice pattern, brass plates with weekdays, c. 130 x 190 x 127 cm, a few small wood parts missing, partly with cracks, signs of age and use.
