the Roman god of agriculture standing in the centre and watching his hourglass, on the left a seated putto emptying a cornucopia with jewels, gold and precious stones, on the right 2 boys, 1 boy with light turquoise loincloth, the other one dressed in black leather covers, they work the mountain with hammer and burin to find gold and silver mines, base with gold-heightened leaf rocailles, height 19.5 cm, length 15 cm

Saturnus (Saturn) Roman God, overthrown and by his son Jupiter (Zeus), he arrives in Latium, where Janus welcomes him. Under his and Janus’ rule, mankind experiences its golden age. To commemorate this, the festivities called Saturnalia were celebrated on 17 December with a meal at the expense of the State.
