The drawing, which was executed in the late 1920s, is the model for the oil painting “Venezia” by Gorbatov (ca. 1930, Sotheby's London, 26th May 2004, lot 191). The painting is listed in the data base of Gorbatovs paintings by Eckart Lingenbauer und Olga Sugrobova-Roth and will appear in the catalogue raisonné of the artist’s work.
