This type of railing, designed for the Vienna Metropolitan Railway (Stadtbahn) and also referred to as “Sunflower railing”, continues to be an eye-catcher in Vienna’s cityscape, but can also be found in other railway stations in cities of the former Habsburg monarchy, such as Bohumin, Brno, and Krakow.
