The object artist Udo Breitenbach was born in Partenstein im Spessart in 1959; in 1986 finished his studies as a communication designer at the Würzburg University of Applied Sciences; in 1993 started working as a freelance designer; his projects emerged victorious from such contests as that of the German Art Directors Club and the German Designers Club, 100 Best Posters, and Architecture Prize; in 1993 first exhibition with Objet Trouvé at Galerie Westendorf, Winterpausen; in 1994/1996 EX-Positionen, Spurensicherungsarbeit zur Wendezeit, Bauhaus Dessau/Galerie Pankow, Berlin; in 1995 CHANGE/CHANCE, WWF International exhibition on the occasion of the Berlin Climate Summit, Berlin, Humboldt University; from 1998 member of the SpessART group of artists, participation in numerous national and international group exhibitions; in 2009 FARBE+RAUM – Bauhaus-Meister Alfred Arndt at the Bauhaus-Ensemble Probstzella; from 2009 loans for Bauhaus exhibitions in Venice, Zurich, Berlin, Bonn, Munich, Jena, Erfurt, Bürgel, Freudenberg, Aschaffenburg; in 2009 art performance Hermes-Rettung; in 2010 co-initiated the KirchnerHAUS Aschaffenburg; in 2015/16 bauhaus, #allesistdesign, exhibits from the Breitenbach Bauhaus collection at the Vitra Design Museum and at the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn; in 2016 exhibition on the 100th anniversary of DADA – Ab_DADA – 1. Aschaffenburger DADA-Messe at Galerie L 17, Aschaffenburg; in 2016/17 Moderne am Main – Bauhaus im Spessart, RAUCH-Museum, Freudenberg; in 2018 ZeitSPRÜNGE – Dialoge zur Kulturgeschichte Europas, with Siegfried Rischer, Kulturtage Aschaffenburg; in 2019 1.
