The Italian opera and film director Gianfranco De Bosio pursued an emphatically historical realism in his production. The rococo spirit was also exhibited in the splendid, sometimes very elaborate costumes of the former Kokoschka assistant Santuzza Calì, which were made in the usual exquisite quality by the famous Roman tailoring company Farani.
This costume consists of a headdress, eye mask and cape, and is made of synthetic fibers, lurex and silk. The mask is made of leather and hand-painted paper mâché. The costume is in good condition, the headdress has signs of wear.
*As the costume was made to measure for the singer, it may differ from the standard size.
