Brussels, c. 280 x 384 cm, about 1700. This cross-woven silk-wool weaving depicts "Johanna before the bath" in the lush vegetation of a classical garden. A number of stylistic features suggest that this work is based on a design by Lodewijk van Schoor (1666-1726), one of the most important designers of his time. With small repairs, clean, in original condition. (VP)
