porcelain, polychromed and gilt, in the centre an obelisk with laurel wreath and light purple ribbon, on the pedestal a medallion with the portrait of Catherine II, on the side a standing putto with laurel wreath in his hair and a lyre in his left hand as Apollo, the sitting girl holds an open book with the inscription "Historie de Russie sous le regne de Catharina II Alexiewna la Grande", on cloud base a seated amoretto blowing a trumpet as Fama, rock base with moulded front, wide and narrow gilt edging, laurel festoons and gilt borders with light purple bands, height 22.5 cm, minor restoration
underglaze blue crossed swords mark second half of the 19th century, model no. 11, red painter no. 44, model by Michael Victor Acier 1773–1775 (Ru)
