with platinum ground, cobalt blue neck, the base of the body with delicate gilt edges, gold leafy tendrils and festoons and wide bright and matte gold edging, conical baluster with polychrome painted white and light purple roses on sprigs of leaves each with a perched pair of birds in conversation, the reverse side with white and yellow daffodils with brown-green sprigs of leaves, cobalt blue volute handles with gilt edges, gold beaded frieze and cones on both sides, surmounted by matte gold crowned royal busts with gilt bands and gold-heightened breastplates, the base of the body with crowned female mascarons on a standard, height 60 cm, minimally scuffed areas
Bohemia, impressed F&M mark 1857- 1875 and red Pirkenhammer mark (Ru) 

The production of outstanding quality vases with platinum ground by the Fischer & Mieg Manufactory may have been developed on the occasion of the Paris World’s Fair in 1867. The Manufactory was awarded a silver medal.
