Dial: black/grey, luminous Arabic numerals

On 4 March 1931, René Alfred Chauvot received a patent for his invention of a wristwatch with a sliding and reversible case. This date marks the birth of the Reverso. Shortly thereafter, Jacques-Davis LeCoultre, the Jaeger company and designer Chauvot came together to develop the first mass-produced JLC Reverso. Over time, different models have been introduced, but the basic principle has remained the same to this day.
