Rolex introduced the first water-resistant chronometers with automatic calendar in 1954 under the name Datejust. The reference 1601 was launched in 1995 as a variant of the 1600 with a fluted bezel. The employed calibre 1575 already has a stop-seconds function. The dial is reworked and the watchband has been supplemented. Servicing is required.
