West Turkestan, c. 167 x 136 cm, mid-19th century, old tent door carpet with four asymmetrical quadrants, the field design with diagonal “dogadshyk” motifs is rather rare, the lower two-piece end features Yomut pines alternating on a red and blue field, the original two-tone shirazi preserved, lower end damaged, a stylistically and chromatically harmonious collector’s piece.
