A pair of candleholders made of sterling silver in abstract, floral, curved shape, C. Zurita, Mexico c. 1940/50
925 sterling silver; each wired for single light; low, slender, irregularly curved shaft in the manner of a twisted flower stalk with stylised tendril decor; the shaft is attached to a small sphere, its centre featuring with three decorative spheres increasing in size, one decorative sphere represents the connecting link to the ovoid shaped candle sconce; the two candlesticks are curved in opposite directions; length 16.7 cm, height 12.4 cm, diameter of insert sconce 2.3 cm, signs of age and use, the underside of the shaft marked with skull, Sterling 925 and C. Zurita 925 in an oval (mis-struck), weight: 358 g.(MP)
