A Late Gothic Madonna and Child,
Tyrol, c. 1480-90, Mary standing on the moon sickle, presenting the child to the viewer, carved Swiss pine, hollowed out on the back, minimal residues of old polychrome paint, the sculpture has been paint-stripped and waxed, height 122 cm, (MC)
A certificate by Dr. Oberwalder from 1992 is available, comparing the Madonna mainly with Swabian and Tyrolean works and dating the time of origin to c. 1480-1490.
