executed by Gebrüder Thonet, Vienna, beechwood and beech bentwood, black stained, with polished finish; covered with black leather and re-upholstered at a later date; professionally restored; signs of age and use; height 80 cm, height of seat 45 cm, width 60.5 cm, depth 47 cm. (MP)

Renzi, Il mobile moderno, p. 226 with a reference to the execution by J. & J. Kohn, and Beiblatt zum Thonetschen Zentral-Anzeiger no. 48, p. 2, 25 February 1915. Gebrüder Thonet produced an identical series in 1915 with the model number 1797.
