oakwood, stained, brown glazed; hammered copper sheet dial with Arabic numerals; numerals partly black lacquered; black lacquered metal hands; casing with glazed body and one lockable door (with key); with all-round carved beaded decoration and moulded wave motifs on the side; with one column and carved rosettes on either side; upper structure and below the columns with wavy carvings; lower part with larger floral carved medallion in the centre; foot area with wavy finish, round feet and carved geometric decorative elements on either side; wooden rod pendulum with partly hammered copper elements; two weights, one key; on the inside of the body a metal plate and the following inscription: “Liebe Freundschaft und Blumen sind das Schönste der Zeit. Gustav & Bertha Kichler 26./1.1911”; signs of age and use; small professional restorations; movement not tested; height 193 cm, width 67.6 cm, depth 24.5 cm. (MP)
