ebony, carved and turned, tendrils carved in relief and partly openwork, the backrest with spiral turned struts, end of the backrest with nude female figures, a winged mythical creature with a winged female head, the vertical struts with a bird each, the eyes inlaid with ivory, later wickerwork seats, spiral-shaped legs and strut, chairs’ height 97 cm, width 53.5 cm, depth 47 cm, armchair’s height 100 cm, width 65.5 cm, depth 61 cm, three chairs with (remains of) a printed label “The Property of the Trustees of the Will of ARTHUR GEORGE EARL OF ONSLOW” and “28”, (Hr)
