Josef Lorenzl, a group/lamp “Gefangener Vogel” (The Captive Bird, Niddy Impekoven) as a trio on a round base, model number 5530, designed in around 1922, executed by Wiener Manufaktur Friedrich Goldscheider, by c. 1941
light-bodied ceramic, with polychrome glazes; each figurine differently glazed and decorated; flowers very slightly chipped, two chippings to the round base, the underside with a firing crack; the underside with embossed model number 5530 and number 93/65, stamped with workshop signet (GS 19), Made in Austria, Hand-Decorated and HA (?); electrical fittings require professional servicing; height to the upper ceramic finial: 50 cm; a single-light lamp socket inserted at a later date. Height to the end of the lamp socket: 76.5 cm. (MP)
