beige-bodied ceramic, glazed in black, brown and dark green hues; the back and dial partly made of dark patinated brass; dial with Roman numerals and sunrays in relief; the underside of the clock with raised inscription: “CAVE NE INDIGNUM!”; book with incised inscription: “Historia”; partly slightly chipped, professionally restored; clock not tested; one key; marked Lavergne on the upper side; the back embossed with model number 3319 and number 48/7, workshop signet (GS 4) and Reproduction Reservée (GS Z 11); height 71 cm, width 64 cm.
