5 Kwere/Zigua medicine gourds,
Tanzania. Wood, ritual materials, between 11 and 22 cm high. These gourds were handled by and filled through traditional healers (wahanga) who use a combination of herbal mixtures, spirit medicines, and spirit mediumship or possession to restore health and wellbeing. (VJ)
