in 1953, for PP Möbler, Denmark, three-legged solid wood construction, manufactured in maplewood. The underside with manufacturer’s adhesive label: ‚PP Möbler Danmark Design: Hans. J. Wegner‘. Dimensions: height c. 94 cm, width c. 50 cm, depth c. 50 cm. Slight signs of age and use, partly with small scratches and minor partial abrasions. (MHA)
The upper part of the chair imitates the shape of a jacket hanger. The seat can be opened to reveal a storage compartment. Originally, the chair had four legs. Since Hans J. Wegner did not like that version, he modified it, opting for a three-legged version. Initially, the model was produced by Johannes Hansen. From 1982 onwards, PP Møbler took over the production of the three-legged version
