Vintage chromogenic print on fiber-based paper, printed 1972, numbered "NASA AS16-116-18718" (NASA MSC) in red in top margin, with "A KODAK PAPER" watermark on verso, 20,3 x 25,4 cm, with 3 filing holes in upper margin not affecting the image

Charles Duke during the last moments on the lunar surface before climbing back into the LM Orion for the journey back to Earth. The Lunar Rover is parked at its final VIP parking site facing Descartes Base, with its battery covers open so that the crew can dust them to avoid TV and communications gear overheat and make sure the TV camera was powered to capture Orion’s liftoff. Duke is working at the front of the Rover near the antenna and TV camera. The reflection of the Rover is visible in his gold-plated visor.
