HENRI VIAN (1860-1905), grandfather of the celebrated French writer BORIS VIAN (1920-1959), was a famous Parisian bronze caster in the second half of the 19th century. He specialised in interior decoration and created numerous furniture bronzes and chandeliers based on models from the Louis XIV period, the Régence and the Rococo.
