model by Michel Victor Acier c. 1774 for Czarina Catherine II for Oranienbaum, the goddess, dressed in veil and cape, sits with legs crossed on a cloud, to her left Iris who together with a putto winds a sash around the goddess, a second putto at her feet, another putto raises his hand against one of two peacocks, porcelain, polychromed and gilt, height 27 cm, incised model no. 38, former no. 97, underglaze blue anniversary crossed swords mark 1710 1910, underside of the base with hairline crack, 1 peacock with chipped beak and feather, 1 wing of a putto broken off, 1 staff chipped, (Hr)
