Is your work a result of unfocused will, the useless, the accidental?
There is something negative about it all, a deficit. Coincidence is a lack of will to act. It's simple but still complex for me. All the materials and things are made for a purpose. Everything, each wooden board, the diving goggles, everything has a purpose. I only use things that have fallen outside the constraints of purpose and are thrown away.
That have been liberated from purpose?
Free materials, that's what I bend into shape. There is something beautiful in this. I simply love this term and I also play around with it. This is my level and I'm still, tentatively, taking away the last vestiges of possible identification. You shouldn’t know where it comes from and what it was. Because if you do, then that alone becomes what is immediately referred to, that's the straw, because then you have something to hold on to. But I like to have nothing at all, just the potential of what it could be - you just don't know ....
