es genügt nicht nur Künstler zu sein, der künstler läuft gefahr, von seiner eigenen kunst aufgefressen zu werden. die revolution verschlingt ihre kinder und die kunst frisst ihren erzeuger. die himmeltahrt des Künstlers wird zum hollensturz. wer kunst als lebensersatz missbraucht, endet im irrenhaus oder im selbstmord. van gogh hätte lieber heiraten und kinder zeugen sollen, kunst ist fitnesstraining für das leben.

It is not enough to be an artist, the artist runs the risk of being consumed by his own art. the revolution devours its children and art eats its creator. the artist‘s journey to heaven becomes a collapse into hell. those who abuse art as a substitute for life end up in a madhouse or commit suicide. van gogh would have been better off getting married and having children, art is training for life.
