(Brussels 1934–2005 Monaco)
Sans fin, 2000, necklace in 18 carat chased yellow gold, 172,90 g. no. II/IV A. P from an edition of 8 + 4 A. P.
A certificate of the Folon Foundation will be given to the buyer.
This necklace is designed by Jean-Michel Folon and made by the famous Verona goldsmiths, F.lli Filippini. For several decades, these jewelers have developed a range of artist's jewelry, or "wearable sculptures", in collaboration with internationally renowned artists (Arman, Fausto Melotti, Pol Bury, etc.).
In 2000, Folon’s abiding interest in exploring ancient techniques led him to work with them in the production of a series that skillfully translate his world into precious jewelry.
Here, Folon's emblematic character sits and multiplies in an endless chain, creating a subtle visual interplay reminiscent of ethnic creations, magnified by the expertise of Italian jewelers.
