Nach 1544 die erste illustr. Ausgabe der Werke Dantes wie auch der "Divina Comedia. Die zahlreiche ganzs. Kpf. stammen von B. Crivelli, F. Giampiccoli, J. Magini, F. Rizzi und weiteren, jew. nach F. Fontebasso, G. F. Marcazzi, G. Schiavoni und G. Zompini. Vorliegendes Werk gilt völlig zu Recht als schönste Dante-Ausgabe des 18. Jahrhunderts. Titel in Rot/Schwarz-Druck. Unter den 112 ganzs. Kpf. auch eine Portrait-Kpf. und eine gef. Stammtafel Dantes, sowie eine Münzkupfertaf. mit dem Münzportrait Dantes. Darüber hinaus eine Portraitkpf. der Widmungsempfängerin, Zarin Elisabeth Petrowna Romanowa. Weiter zahlreiche gest. Vignetten u. Bordüren-Kpf. rund um die Kapitelüberschriften. Kapitel jew. mit detailverzierten Kpf.-Initialen. - Seitenränder tlw. etwas stockig. Taf 8 und Taf. 30 in Bd.3 fl. Je Band zwei farb. (rot u. grün) goldgepr. RSch. Schnitt rot gesprenkelt. Einband etwas abgegriffen. Ansonsten guter Zustand, viele der Kpf. überaus frisch u. noch mit klarem Plattenrand. Sehr selten! (Vgl. Gamba 396)
