around 1900. An extremely large, light red carpet with large flower motifs, arabesques and sweeping cloud bands. A significant example of a Western commissioned work from the workshop of the master weaver Sadaghiani, who also produced according to the specifications of the New York-based company "Nearco Castelli & brothers" at the turn of the century. Manufactured with c. 400,000 knots/sqm, with minor traces of usage, in good condition considering its age and size. Signed: "Castelli Sadaghiani".
