Early execution of this design by the silversmithy of the Court Jeweller A. Michelsen. Subsequently, the cutlery service, which was originally used in the restaurants of the SAS Hotel in Copenhagen, went into mass production at Georg Jensen. The shape was so avant-garde that Stanley Kubrick had the space travellers eat with it in his film “2001 - A Space Odyssey”. Displayed at the XI Triennale in Milan in 1957. Lit.: C. Thau-K.
