Josef Floch’s tonal harmonies are apt to evoke the cool silvery blue of a moonlit night rather than a hot day of summer. Above all, while everything is lucid up to a point, nothing is tangible. We see it all clearly but it remains inaccessible to our touch. In other words, Floch the artist is more of a seer than an observer; a dreamer more than a drummer; a poet, not a reporter.
