Early execution of this design by the silversmithy of the Danish Court Jeweller A. Michelsen. Subsequently, the cutlery service, which was originally used in the restaurants of the SAS Hotel in Copenhagen, went into mass production at Georg Jensen. The shape was considered so avant-garde for the time that Stanley Kubrick had the space travellers in his futuristic film “2001: A Space Odyssey” dine with it.
