Danube Monarchy c. 1825/30, walnut-veneered, polished softwood frame with bombé lower half, conical lesenes with female heads painted black and gold, cornice drawer with gilt bulls-eye mouldings, hinged writing surface, ash and maple-veneered interior with polished finish in architectural design, upper large 4-piece pull-out inner drawer with 3 secret drawers behind it, inner drawer below with gable and brick decoration, 6 inner drawers - flanked by ebonised half-columns on the inside, mirrored niche with sliding top - the latter with geometric Indian ink painting, with one more secret compartment underneath, and 1 secret drawer to each side, lower part in bulbous design with maple-veneered polished 2-drawer interior, c. 154 x 98 x 50 cm, fittings and parts replaced, restored condition.
